Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to Tony Scott's beloved 1986 action film Top Gun which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 the same year thanks to a handful of timeless smash hits like Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone," and "Playing with the Boys" plus Berlin's "Take My Breath Away" and Loverboy's "Heaven in Your Eyes."

There are certain irrefutable truths in life as one gets older. But perhaps most pertinent of all is the fact that the Top Gun album not only trumps the film itself, but is undoubtedly the greatest soundtrack ever produced.

1986’s proudly jingoistic tale of jet fighter pilots up in the skies with the best of the best was the brainchild of ’80s powerhouse producers Jerry Bruckheimer and the late Don Simpson.

Assisting them is famed German music producer Giorgio Moroder. Reaching his zenith here with this soundtrack, Morodor assembled a collection of solo artists and groups who were firing on all cylinders during this period.
