Jejune This Afternoons Malady is the band’s closing statement — a second-wave emo record leaning into thick, smeared guitar tone and bruised hooks. Co-produced with Ted Leo of Chisel, these twelve songs sharpen their midwest-leaning heart-on-sleeve craft into something louder, heavier and more sky-aimed, without losing the nervy vulnerability at its core. Remastered from the original tapes, it captures a group stretching toward something bigger while knowing the moment is already slipping through their fingers.
